Job Purpose:
The Country Director is responsible for leading and growing Cenomi Retail's business in Jordan, with full accountability for the performance of seventeen international fashion and lifestyle brands under one P&L. The role oversees commercial growth, operational excellence, profitability, people development, and strategic expansion, ensuring all brands deliver exceptional customer experiences and operate in line with corporate standards. As the company's most senior representative in the market, the Country Director drives business performance end-to-end, from commercial strategy and stakeholder management to retail execution and team leadership. Stradivarius · Mango · Aldo · Aldo Accessories · Charles & Keith · Parfois · Monsoon / Accessorize · Lipsy · La Vie En Rose · La Senza · Ipekyol · Marie France · Okaidi · OXXO · Spring · U.S. Polo Assn. · ADL. Fashion, footwear, accessories, lingerie, and kidswear, each with its own brand standards, commercial rhythm, and customer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial performance -Full P&L accountability. Annual business planning, budgeting, and the delivery of revenue, margin, and profitability targets across every brand in the portfolio.
- Retail operations - Consistent execution of brand standards, visual merchandising, and service across all stores. Ownership of the operating KPIs that drive them: like-for-like sales, conversion, ATV, UPT, productivity, shrinkage, and inventory accuracy.
- Market development- New store openings, relocations, and renewals. Direct negotiation with landlords and developers, and the commercial judgement to know which locations to pursue and which to walk away from.
- People leadership - Building, coaching, and retaining the country team. Succession depth at store and area management level, and a culture people choose to stay in.
- Brand partner and stakeholder relationships - Representing Cenomi Retail with brand principals, government authorities, and partners, and working closely with regional Finance, HR, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Property.
- Governance - Compliance with Jordanian labour and commercial regulation, financial controls, and asset protection.
What You Will Bring:
- Proven country, cluster, or multi-site leadership in fashion or lifestyle retail, with genuine P&L ownership
- A track record across both commercial and operational disciplines: you can read a margin report and walk a shop floor with equal credibility
- Experience managing multiple brands or brand partners simultaneously, with the discipline that brand standards demand
- Strong real estate and landlord negotiation capability
- Demonstrated ability to build and retain teams in a high-turnover retail environment
- Fluency in Arabic and English, both are essential to this role
- Experience in Jordan, the Levant, or the wider GCC retail market
