Your Role
As the Director of Product, MENA, you will lead the strategic development and execution of roadmaps for our suite of our Arabic language products (Seesaw Arabic, I Read Arabic, I Start Arabic and Mizan), ensuring the delivery of high-quality educational solutions that meet the evolving needs of students in the MENA region and the schools and ministries of education we partner with. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch, and driving continuous improvement based on user feedback, market insights and cutting-edge AI technologies.
Strong candidates will have a background in shipping complex software products at scale and engaging with a global team to deliver high-quality, thoughtful product solutions to challenging user problems.
Your Responsibilities
- Product Strategy and Roadmap Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to define and execute the product vision and strategy for our suite of products designed for the MENA market. Oversee the end-to-end product development process for your team, from roadmap development to project prioritization to deployment and success monitoring. Ensure alignment with the company's global goals and values while accounting for local user needs and market trends.
- AI Innovation: Identify opportunities for AI-driven innovation and differentiation, positioning Seesaw as a leader in intelligent learning solutions in the region. Spearhead the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies into our educational products, leveraging data-driven insights to personalize learning experiences and optimize student outcomes.
- Team Leadership: Lead a small and talented team of product managers and product designers. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning to drive the successful implementation of new features and functionalities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including US-based senior leadership and US- and MENA-based sales, marketing, and customer success teams, to gather insights, align priorities, and drive cross-functional initiatives that support product success.
- User-Centric Design: Champion a user-centric approach to product development, leveraging data-driven insights to inform improvements, identify growth opportunities, and address pain points.
- Market Analysis: Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor products across the MENA region. Conduct regular analyses to identify opportunities and areas for differentiation, driving improvements and innovation in Seesaw's MENA market product offerings.
Your Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in product management within the education technology or software industry, with at least 2 years leading a team of product managers and designers.
- Proactive and robust product strategy development skills with a proven track record of leading small but mighty teams to deliver exceptional product experiences.
- Flexible Schedule: Ability to maintain a consistent 4-hour daily overlap (Mon–Thu) with US East Coast business hours.
- Excellent communication skills, including experience with asynchronous communication across multiple time zones and the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely to executive teams.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious goals.
- A passion for improving educational experiences for children across the MENA region and the globe.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adapting to shifting priorities and business needs.
- English and Arabic language expertise
Preferred Experience
- 2+ years of experience working in edtech or within educational institutions
- Proficiency with product analytics tools, like Salesforce, Snowflake, Amplitude and Datadog to inform data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency with project management tools and processes (Jira, Github, SCRUM), and product design tools and processes (Figma, User-centered design)
- Experience with AI coding and research tools like Claude and ChatGPT, and a willingness to learn and evolve.
