Job Description:
We are seeking an IT Finance Advisor to manage IT budgeting, financial reporting, and procurement processes. This role is responsible for accurate budget planning, monitoring expenditures, and supporting cost optimization. The IT Finance Advisor will collaborate with Finance and IT teams to ensure compliance, drive operational efficiencies, and support the department’s financial objectives.
Accountabilities and Key Roles:
- Collect, consolidate, and validate IT Department’s annual capital (Capex) and operational (Opex) budgets, ensuring alignment across PLC and subsidiaries
- Manage centralized monitoring of approved budgets; prevent overspending and provide detailed reports on budget growth, deviations, and variances
- Prepare and deliver monthly and annual expense reports; analyze deviations and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with Finance for accurate forecasts and strategic plans
- Support cost reduction initiatives and contract reviews
- Conduct monthly expense reconciliations for Jordan and support other PLC countries
- Organize/facilitate IT technical evaluation sessions
- Lead IT Procurement Committee sessions and ensure compliance with policies
- Process IT purchase requests and monitor purchase orders
- Maintain accurate budget records on SAPGUI and offer SAP user support
- Manage and validate telecommunications expenses; ensure timely invoice payments
- Track activation/changes of communication lines with HR, IT, and service providers
- Optimize budget management processes and enhance integration with SAP systems
- Provide general support to management and ITC heads.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Advanced degree or professional certification (such as CPA, CMA) is an advantage
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT finance, budgeting, in addition to procurement knowledge
- Solid experience in banking or financial services sector is preferred
- Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems
- Strong skills in financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
