Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Amman. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledger entries, and preparing journal vouchers. Responsibilities include preparing and analyzing financial statements, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accurate and timely bank reconciliations. The role also covers assisting with budgeting and forecasting, tracking expenses, and supporting internal and external audits. The Accountant will ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls, while providing clear financial reports and insights to management.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational accounting skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
- Proficiency with accounting software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, and financial reporting applications).
- Knowledge of local tax laws, financial regulations, and applicable accounting standards.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and numerical reasoning abilities.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
- Ability to work on-site in Amman, manage deadlines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is an advantage.
- Experience in the healthcare, medical supplies, or manufacturing sector is a plus.
