About the Job
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Accountant to join our team in Amman, Jordan. This role is responsible for managing daily accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements.
The successful candidate will support core accounting operations including journal entries, bank reconciliations, payables and receivables management, and month‑end and year‑end closing activities. You will also play a key role in ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, resolving discrepancies, and supporting the organisation’s overall financial integrity and compliance.

Location: Amman, Jordan
Responsibilities
- Record and process daily journal entries related to receivables, revenue, and other financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations to verify balances and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
- Prepare, review, and post daily expense payments by validating supporting documentation and ensuring compliance prior to requesting disbursements.
- Verify, allocate, and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Support month‑end and year‑end financial closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Maintain well‑organised, complete, and up‑to‑date financial records and documentation for audit, compliance, and internal control purposes.
- Ensure that all financial records and transactions comply with applicable laws, tax regulations, and internal company policies.
- Investigate, analyse, and resolve accounting discrepancies by reviewing account data and implementing corrective actions as required.
- Prepare, review, and submit all required tax declarations and statutory filings in a timely manner, ensuring full compliance with local tax laws and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in accounting, finance, or a related role.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis functions.
- Relevant experience working with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar), including hands‑on use for accounting entries, reporting, and reconciliations.
