About the Group
Origins 1450 is a vertically integrated coffee group operating across sourcing, trading, roasting, hospitality, and retail.
We source directly from Yemen, Ethiopia, Colombia, Ecuador, and other origins through Qima Coffee, operate cafés in London under Qima Cafe, and run a growing roasting and retail operation in Jordan under Jampot Coffee.
Our business spans multiple countries, currencies, entities, and operational models — from international coffee procurement and logistics through to hospitality, manufacturing, and retail operations.
We are building something genuinely differentiated: not simply a coffee company, but a vertically integrated coffee platform operating across origin, roastery, finance, and hospitality. People who thrive here tend to be builders — commercially engaged, operationally involved, and energised by creating structure and momentum inside fast-moving environments.
The business spans multiple entities, currencies, and operating models. Our Middle East hub is in Amman. This is where this role sits.
About the Role
This is a rare opportunity for a dynamic and commercially minded finance professional to step into a genuinely international finance role with broad operational exposure and meaningful responsibility from day one.
You will work closely with both the Group CFO and Founder across the financial management of a multi-entity international business — supporting management reporting, cash flow visibility, intercompany accounting, trade finance operations, financial controls, and commercial decision-making.
This is not a narrow reporting role. You will be expected to improve visibility, strengthen controls, build systems, and help bring greater financial discipline and operational clarity across a founder-led group operating in multiple international markets.`
The role requires someone who combines strong financial fundamentals with energy, ownership, commercial awareness, and a genuine interest in how businesses operate.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Financial Control & Reporting
- Produce monthly management accounts across multiple group entities
- Maintain intercompany schedules and group consolidations
- Own weekly and monthly cash flow forecasting and reporting
- Support month-end close and reporting accuracy across the group
- Liaise with UK accountants regarding statutory accounts and filings
- Monitor operational performance, margins, and working capital
Trade finance & operational finance
- Maintain financing and deal tracking schedules
- Reconcile procurement, logistics, and supplier payment flows
- Support lender and investor reporting requirements
- Work closely with operational teams across sourcing, roasting, hospitality, and trading operations
Systems & Process Improvement
- Improve financial visibility, reporting discipline, and internal controls
- Build practical systems and tracking processes where needed
- Help standardise reporting across multiple entities and business units
- Work across Xero, QuickBooks, spreadsheets, and operational systems
Commercial Support
- Participate in regular finance and commercial reviews with leadership
- Identify risks, inefficiencies, and variances proactively
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-making
- Contribute commercially — not just technically
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Qualifications and Experience
- ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent qualification
- Strong grounding in management accounting and financial control
- Comfortable working across multiple entities, currencies, and jurisdictions
- Experience with cloud accounting platforms such as QuickBooks
- Strong Excel and analytical capability
Who you are
- Dynamic, proactive, and highly organised
- Commercially curious and operationally engaged
- Comfortable taking ownership and accountability
- A strong communicator who surfaces issues early and brings solutions
- Detail-oriented while able to prioritise effectively
- Comfortable operating within a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment
- Interested in building and improving systems — not simply maintaining them
- Curious about technology and AI, and interested in how tools can improve visibility, efficiency, and decision-making
Periodic travel to other international locations may form part of the role.
Why Jordan
Amman is one of the region’s most underrated cities — stable, safe, affordable, and genuinely liveable.
The package is designed to create a materially stronger net earning position than many equivalent UK-based finance opportunities, while offering significantly broader operational exposure and responsibility than a conventional finance role.
Combined with international exposure, direct access to leadership, and the opportunity to operate across multiple markets and business models, this role offers a genuinely distinctive career and lifestyle opportunity.
Visa support available for the right candidate.
