Job Purpose:
Resourcing is a critical business function at KPMG. It ensures that organizations have the right people, with the right skills, in the right locations, available at the right time. Resourcing ensures the effective utilization and development of our staff. Its responsibilities range from workforce planning and headcount management to demand and supply management for client engagements. Effective Resourcing contributes significantly to KPMG delivering its business performance but also plays a key role in helping individuals at KPMG fulfil their career ambitions.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance:
- Collaborate with business units to identify specific Resource Management needs relevant to each Service Line/Geography and tailor solutions to meet their market approach.
- Implement Resource Management processes and governance frameworks.
- Promote Resource Management principles and the value of effective Resource Management to all levels of staff, from Partners to Graduates.
- Act as the main point of contact for resourcing issues for the Departments you will oversee, advocating for the Resource Management function.
- Identify and resolve resourcing conflicts promptly and proactively manage staff deployment across service lines.
- Identify appropriate resourcing options, considering onshore, offshore, and alternative staffing mixes (e.g., sub-contractors, contractors, offshore delivery centers).
- Consider resource development needs and goals in scheduling decisions.
Resource Management:
- Manage the day-to-day use of Retain (resource scheduling tool) and ensure compliance and consistency in data recording.
- Work with Resourcing Associates, Consultants, and Assistant Managers to ensure quality control and accuracy of schedules.
- Prepare resourcing analysis and reports, providing insights on capacity, projected revenue and utilization.
- Review Retain and financial data to identify Resource Management issues, communicate with management, and provide recommendations.
- Analyze business requirements documents and challenge the business where appropriate.
People Development:
- Encourage staff to keep CVs current and tailored for job opportunities.
- Participate in people initiatives, role modeling KPMG values, and meeting firm deadlines during performance management cycles.,
- Meet firm deadlines for performance management cycles, including goal setting and reviews for junior team members
Knowledge Management:
- Support ad-hoc firm-wide projects and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Maintain and drive accuracy in capability repositories.
- Promote a knowledge-sharing culture and build relationships with colleagues across KPMG's global network.
People and Relationships:
- Build relationships with Department Leaders & Service Line COO’s
- Collaborate with KBS & support teams, such as PPC, ITS, Finance and Risk Management
Qualifications:
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or any related field.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in resource planning, capacity management, Talent Acquisition or related roles within the financial services industry.
Technical Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and strategic forecasting techniques.
