Overview
We are seeking a highly disciplined, execution-driven Operations & Business Development Manager to lead and scale our collection operations across Kuwait.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, data-driven, and commercially strong, capable of managing field operations, drivers, warehouse activities, and key client relationships in real time while ensuring strict control, zero leakage, and continuous growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Key Accounts
- Identify, approach, and secure contracts with key accounts
- Build long-term partnerships and ensure account exclusivity
- Negotiate commercial terms and increase monthly collection volumes
- Handle client retention, complaints, and expansion opportunities
- Represent the company professionally in all external engagements
2. Operations & Field Management
- Oversee daily operations across all routes and drivers
- Ensure on-time collections and efficient route execution
- Track volumes vs targets vs historical performance
- Monitor loading, unloading, and field execution
- Ensure zero leakage, theft, or operational inefficiencies
- Manage real-time field communication and issue escalation
3. Driver & Team Management
- Manage drivers, storekeepers, and field teams
- Enforce discipline, attendance, and company policies
- Monitor performance, productivity, and behavior
- Supervise through reporting tools (logs, photos, WhatsApp groups, etc.)
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, compliance, and accountability
4. Scheduling & Route Optimization
- Prepare and manage daily and weekly collection schedules
- Optimize routes based on:
- Historical data
- Collection volumes
- Warehouse capacity
- Control fuel usage and operational costs
5. Warehouse & Inventory Control
- Supervise warehouse and storage operations
- Maintain accurate inventory records (incoming, storage, dispatch)
- Monitor tanks and bulk storage levels
- Ensure zero stock loss, leakage, or manipulation
6. Quality Control
- Ensure all collected material meets company quality standards
- Inspect incoming materials and reject non-compliant loads
- Coordinate with management on supplier performance and penalties
7. KPI Monitoring & Reporting
- Track and report daily and monthly:
- Collection volumes
- Driver productivity
- Key account performance
- Inventory movement
- Missed pickups and delays
- Compare performance (daily, weekly, historical)
- Identify gaps and take immediate corrective actions
8. Fraud Monitoring & Control
- Monitor operations for irregularities or suspicious activity
- Ensure strict control systems to prevent loss or manipulation
- Flag and escalate issues immediately
- Support management in loss prevention and audits
9. Execution & Management Follow-Up
- Execute management instructions with urgency and precision
- Follow up on:
- Hiring
- Logistics
- Procurement
- Ensure full task closure (execution, not just reporting)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 3–7 years experience in:
- Logistics, supply chain, collections, or FMCG operations
- Proven experience managing:
Drivers and field teams
Operations and routes
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, field-based role (up to 12 hours/day)
- Solid knowledge of:
Warehousing
Inventory control
Quality management
- High integrity, discipline, and accountability
- Fluent in Arabic (mandatory) & English
- Valid driving license preferred
- GCC experience is a plus
