The Testing Manager will lead and oversee all testing activities related to the implementation of a core banking system. The role is responsible for establishing the testing strategy, governing vendor-led testing execution, and ensuring that all system components meet the required functional, technical, and regulatory standards before deployment. The position will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure comprehensive test coverage and high-quality system delivery.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 14 years of experience
- Proven experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test management
- Proven experience managing testing for large-scale core banking system implementations
- Demonstrated experience in test strategy development, test governance, and quality assurance frameworks
- Experience managing end-to-end testing cycles, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and regression testing
- Strong understanding of core banking system modules and banking operations
- Experience managing test environments, defect tracking, and release readiness
Other Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong leadership and coordination skills across business and technology teams
- Strong stakeholder management and reporting capabilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement the overall testing strategy and governance framework for the core banking system implementation
- Oversee and manage vendor-led testing activities, ensuring adherence to agreed testing standards and methodologies
- Review and approve test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test execution strategies
- Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and performance testing
- Ensure adequate test environment readiness and data preparation
- Monitor test execution progress, defect management, and resolution timelines
- Facilitate collaboration between business users, IT teams, and external vendors during testing phases
- Provide regular testing status reports, defect analysis, and risk updates to program leadership
- Ensure testing activities comply with banking regulations, security standards, and internal governance frameworks
- Support go-live readiness assessments and post-implementation validation activities
