Job Summary:

The Business Intelligence Senior Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing the design, development, and delivery of Business Intelligence (BI) and analytics solutions that provide timely, accurate, and actionable insights to support business performance and strategic decision-making.

The role supervises the BI team, ensuring effective execution of projects, adherence to data governance standards, system reliability, and continuous improvement of BI architecture and analytics capabilities. The position acts as the primary technical authority for BI systems while aligning solutions with organizational objectives.

Technical Duties:

Leadership & Team Supervision:

Supervise, guide, and support BI team members in executing daily tasks and project deliverables
Allocate tasks, monitor workload distribution, and ensure timely completion of assignments.
Review and approve technical deliverables including reports, dashboards, and data models.
Provide technical coaching and mentorship to enhance team capabilities.
Contribute to performance evaluation, development planning, and skill enhancement of BI staff.

Business Intelligence & Analytics:

Lead the design, development, and implementation of BI and analytics systems.
Oversee project planning activities, including scope definition, resource planning, and schedule development.
Translate complex business requirements into scalable analytical models and BI solutions.
Ensure delivery of dashboards and reports that provide clear performance indicators and actionable insights.
Align BI initiatives with business priorities and strategic objectives.

Data Warehousing & Integration:

Lead the design, modeling, and optimization of data warehouse structures and analytical data models.

Ensure seamless integration and data flow across ERP systems (SAP) and other platforms.
Oversee maintenance, performance tuning, and optimization of BI architecture and analytical environments.
Ensure scalability, stability, and sustainability of BI solutions.

Systems & Applications Support:

Oversee SAP BI and other analytics platforms, ensuring reliability and performance.
Ensure compliance with service management standards and SLAs.
Lead troubleshooting and resolution of critical BI system issues.
Review and approve system changes and enhancements before deployment.

Data Quality, Governance & Security:

Accountable for data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across BI systems.
Implement and enforce data governance standards, including documentation, validation controls, and data definitions.
Ensure compliance with data security, access control policies, and IT standards.
Act as escalation point for data discrepancies or governance concerns.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

Partner with business stakeholders to understand analytical needs and prioritize BI initiatives.
Supervise user acceptance testing (UAT), validation processes, and solution deployment.
Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes and enhance analytics capabilities.
Evaluate and recommend new BI tools, technologies, and architectural improvements.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the BI team.

Job Specification :

Required Educational Level &Certificates

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

Required Experience:

7–10 years of hands-on experience in Business Intelligence and data analytics.
Proven experience leading BI projects and supervising technical teams.
Strong understanding of business processes, data warehousing concepts, and analytics solutions.
Experience in ERP-based environments (SAP preferred).
