We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Operation Manager to oversee and enhance daily operations within our airport lounge. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both Food & Beverage and Front Office operations, with a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver exceptional guest experiences. Experience in pre-opening projects and prior exposure as a Deputy General Manager will be considered a strong advantage.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily lounge operations, ensuring exceptional service standards, health & safety compliance, and high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Lead and coordinate multiple teams including Reception, Front of House, Cleaning, Maintenance, and Goods Receiving.
- Manage overall business performance, including sales, profitability, budgeting, and operational KPIs.
- Support new lounge openings by coordinating pre-opening activities, staff recruitment and training, and supplier/vendor management.
- Develop and manage staff schedules, conduct performance appraisals, and lead training and development initiatives.
- Ensure effective stock control, cash handling, and administrative processes while maintaining compliance with SOPs, licensing, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager and regional culinary team on menu planning and enhancements.
- Plan and execute marketing initiatives to drive guest engagement and revenue.
- Handle guest feedback, complaints, and partner relations professionally and efficiently.
- Continuously identify and implement improvements to operational efficiency, service delivery, and team performance.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong background in both Food & Beverage and Front Office operations is essential.
- Previous experience as a Deputy General Manager is highly desirable.
- Experience in pre-opening projects or new venue launches is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational systems.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and guest service abilities.
- Proven ability to multitask and work effectively across multiple departments.
- Calm, resilient, and accountable under pressure.
- Solid knowledge of health & safety regulations, food hygiene, and compliance standards.
- Multilingual skills are a plus.
