Project: Cloud Kitchen Empowerment & Digital Integration Program
Location: Amman, Jordan
Duration: 8 Months (March 2026 – November 2026)

Reports to: Financial Advisor / Project Manager
Position Summary
The Finance Assistant will support the financial management and compliance of the Cloud Kitchen Empowerment Project, ensuring accurate budgeting, tracking, documentation, and reporting in line with donor requirements and organizational policies.
The role is responsible for processing payments, maintaining financial records, tracking budget utilization, supporting audits, and ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Budget Implementation & Monitoring
- Support implementation of the approved project budget.
- Track expenditures against budget lines (salaries, training costs, venues, outreach, coaching visits, etc.).
- Maintain updated budget tracking sheets.
- Flag any over- or under-spending risks to the Financial Advisor and Project Manager.
- Ensure financial planning supports achieving project milestones (e.g., activation of 50% beneficiaries by September 2026).
Payment Processing & Financial Documentation
- Prepare payment requests for:
- Trainers
- Venue providers
- Coaches
- Service providers
- Collect and verify invoices, receipts, contracts, and supporting documents.
- Ensure all documents are complete, signed, and compliant with donor rules.
- Maintain organized financial filing system (physical and digital).
Procurement & Contract Support
- Ensure procurement procedures follow organizational and donor policies.
- Support documentation of quotations and selection process.
Financial Reporting
- Support preparation of:
- Monthly internal financial reports
- Donor financial reports
- Budget variance analysis
- Reconcile expenses with project implementation records.
- Coordinate with the Project Coordinator to ensure operational and financial data match.
Cash & Bank Management
- Assist in monitoring project bank transactions.
- Support preparation of bank reconciliations.
- Track payments related to trainers and service providers.
- Monitor advances and ensure timely liquidation.
Compliance & Audit Support
- Ensure all project expenses comply with:
- Donor financial guidelines
- Organizational policies
- Prepare documentation for internal or external audits.
- Support financial verification related to income tracking benchmarks.
Financial Tracking of Beneficiary Performance (Income Indicator)
- Ensure financial records align with operational performance indicators.
Expected Results by Project End
- 100% documented and compliant financial records.
- Accurate budget utilization tracking.
- No major audit findings.
- Timely financial reporting to donors.
- Transparent financial support to project activities.
- Full financial alignment with operational targets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Previous NGO or donor-funded project experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting and financial documentation.
- Good understanding of procurement procedures.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial tracking tools.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under deadlines.
