Overview
We are seeking a strategic and commercially-driven Investment Manager to spearhead growth and expansion efforts for our diversified property portfolio. This role is central to our development pipeline, tasked with identifying high-value opportunities and transforming them into viable, market-leading projects. You will act as the bridge between investment theory and physical development, ensuring every project is backed by rigorous data, strong partnerships, and a clear path to profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute expansion strategies across diverse asset classes, ensuring alignment with long-term corporate vision and risk appetite.
- Opportunity Identification: Proactively source and identify new investment and development opportunities; lead the "go/no-go" evaluation process through deep-dive commercial assessments.
- Financial Feasibility: Conduct sophisticated financial modelling, sensitivity analysis, and feasibility studies to define optimal development and revenue models.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and nurture strategic relationships with institutional investors, joint venture partners, governmental entities, and anchor tenants.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Development, Finance, and Marketing teams from concept to launch, ensuring market requirements are embedded in the project design.
- Market Intelligence: Lead comprehensive market research, competitor benchmarking, and demand assessments to identify emerging trends and untapped niches.
- Negotiation & Structuring: Lead negotiations for MOUs, partnership agreements, and operating contracts; ensure commercial terms protect company interests and drive ROI.
- Project Launch Support: Coordinate with sales and marketing to ensure the commercial launch aligns with the initial investment thesis and market demand.
- Reporting & Risk: Prepare high-level reports for senior management and the Board, detailing performance metrics, risk mitigation strategies, and growth forecasts.
Skills & Experience
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or CFA charter is highly desirable.
- Industry Expertise: Substantial experience in real estate investment, business development, or private equity, specifically within large-scale property development.
- Financial Acumen: Exceptional financial modelling skills (Excel/Argus) with the ability to translate complex data into actionable investment memos.
- Strategic Networking: Proven track record of managing relationships with government bodies and high-net-worth or institutional investors.
- Transaction Experience: Demonstrated experience in structuring deals and navigating the legal and financial complexities of real estate partnerships.
- Communication: Elite presentation skills; ability to pitch complex development stories to internal and external stakeholders convincingly.
