About The Role
The Quality Assurance Officer ensures that all educational content produced by Jo Academy meets required quality standards before publication. The role focuses on reviewing lessons, videos, scripts, question banks, and supporting materials to ensure they are accurate, error-free, consistent, and aligned with Jo Academy’s content guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Review educational content (scripts, videos, questions, slides, worksheets, etc.) for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Identify grammatical, factual, formatting, and conceptual errors, ensuring corrections are applied before release.
- Validate that learning objectives are reflected accurately in the content.
- Ensure consistency of terminology and formatting within each course and across grade levels.
- Apply QA checklists, rubrics, and guidelines to maintain uniform standards across all content.
- Document issues clearly and ensure revision cycles are completed and approved before publishing.
- Follow internal workflows for version control, content updates, and review timelines.
- Coordinate with Instructional Designers, Subject Matter Experts, and E-Learning Developers to clarify content gaps, fix inaccuracies, and improve learning flow.
- Provide constructive feedback that enhances content quality and student comprehension.
- Participate in content review meetings and provide input on improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, English, Linguistics, Instructional Design, or any related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in content QA, editorial review, education, or proofreading roles.
- Excellent command of written Arabic (required); strong English is a plus.
- High attention to detail and the ability to catch conceptual, grammatical, and formatting issues.
- Basic understanding of curriculum structures and assessment design.
- Experience in EdTech, educational content production, or digital learning.
- Familiarity with QA frameworks for content review.
- Ability to work in fast-paced production cycles with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience editing specific subject content (Math, Science, Languages) is a plus.
