Line of Service Overview At PwC, our people in tax services focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions.
Business Unit Overview We are seeking a Business Analyst with 1–2 years of experience to support business process improvement and data-driven decision-making across various projects (digital assets and AI). The ideal candidate will bring foundational experience in business analysis, system requirements gathering, process analysis, and stakeholder collaboration, along with a working knowledge of business systems, digital products, data tools, and emerging technologies. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into functional solutions, support project delivery, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and the ability to thrive in an Agile environment are key to success.
How You’ll Contribute - Work with stakeholders and product teams to gather, refine, and document business and system requirements for new software features and tools.
- Translate business processes into user stories, process flows, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Support the development and implementation of business solutions by collaborating with technical teams, QA, and project managers.
- Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities and contribute to solution design discussions.
- Conduct data analysis to support business cases, project scoping, and performance monitoring.
- Assist in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management within Agile/Scrum teams.
- Create wireframes, use cases, and other documentation to support solution development and stakeholder understanding.
- Collaborate with product owners and project teams in Agile/Scrum environments to prioritize and refine backlog items.
- Prepare and present reports, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and support change management activities for new system rollouts.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation, including process maps, SOPs, and training materials.
What You’ll Bring Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Required Skill Sets
- Business Analysis: Experience with requirements of gathering, process documentation, stakeholder interviews, and digital product teams.
- Requirements & Documentation: Proficiency in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Data Analysis: Working knowledge of Excel, or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Scrum or Kanban frameworks and tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or Confluence.
- Problem Solving & Critical Thinking: Ability to identify root causes and contribute to solution design.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities in business processes and datasets.
- Project Support: Familiarity with project life cycles and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Teams).
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and clarity in documentation and analysis.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and sprint planning.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including IT, product, and operations.
- Familiarity with business intelligence concepts and cloud-based tools (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Certifications such as ECBA (Entry Certificate in Business Analysis), Agile BA, or relevant business/data courses.
