Climate Balanced is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented ESG Specialist to join our growing team in Amman, Jordan. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in ESG reporting and sustainability advisory who are looking to deepen their technical expertise while working closely with senior consultants on high-impact projects across emerging markets.
At Climate Balanced, we support organizations in strengthening transparency, accountability, and climate resilience through robust ESG reporting, strategic advisory, and capacity-building solutions. You will contribute to meaningful sustainability initiatives within a collaborative, mission-driven consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of ESG and sustainability reports aligned with global frameworks (GRI, IFRS S1/S2, CDP, TCFD).
- Conduct ESG benchmarking, gap analyses, and maturity assessments, and contribute to ESG action plans and improvement roadmaps.
- Collect, analyze, validate, and manage ESG datasets, KPIs, and reporting trackers across multiple client engagements.
- Participate in stakeholder engagement processes, including background research, interviews, workshops, and client meetings.
- Draft, edit, and review ESG content in English and Arabic, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with international best practices.
- Monitor developments in ESG regulations, reporting standards, and sector-specific disclosures.
- Collaborate closely with senior consultants to deliver high-quality, client-ready deliverables.
- Contribute to ESG training sessions, capacity-building initiatives, proposals, and business development materials.
Candidate Profile
- Strong writing and editing skills in English and Arabic, with experience producing professional reports.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with both qualitative and quantitative ESG data.
- Confident communicator, able to engage with clients and stakeholders in an advisory context.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Based in Amman, Jordan, with no travel restrictions.
- Available to start immediately or within one month.
Educational Background (Preferred)
- Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Environmental/Energy Engineering, Business, or a related discipline is an asset but not mandatory.
