"The GIZ Jordan Country Office “Joint Delivery Unit” is seeking to hire an “AI Governance and Digital Transformation Advisor” for full-time based employment.
You help GIZ Jordan adopt digital and AI-enabled solutions in a secure, responsible, and practical way.
In this role, you combine two perspectives:
Enable digital transformation, support innovative digital approaches and AI adoption across projects and operations.
Ensure information security, data protection, and responsible use of technology.
You are the main advisor for managers and teams on questions related to AI, digital governance, information security, and data management.
As part of the IT & Digital Team within the Joint Delivery Unit (JDU), you work across the entire portfolio and support colleagues in turning ideas into solutions, testing and piloting new approaches while managing risks appropriately. You are expected to stay up to date with corporate policies around digital transformation and AI as well as information security and advise colleagues and teams when requested. Where necessary, you will be expected to create written or visual guides for colleagues and teams to be able to easily adopt changes.

Qualifications and Specialist Knowledge
Qualifications & experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Data Management, Public Administration, Law or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in digital transformation, digital governance, information security, data governance, IT advisory, or related fields.
Very good oral and written English skills (C1 level and above)
Practical experience advising teams or managers on digital solutions, governance, risk, or organizational change.
Good understanding of information security principles and experience working with information security standards such as ISO/IEC 27001 or similar frameworks.
Good understanding of data protection and privacy principles and willingness to learn on the job.
Demonstrated interest in artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and emerging technologies, including evidence of self-learning, professional development, or practical application.
Ability to translate complex technical or governance topics into practical guidance for non-technical audiences.
Solid understanding of digital systems, data management, and common workplace technologies.
Experience working in complex stakeholder environments or matrix organizations is an advantage.

Main Responsibilities
Advise projects and managers on AI, digital transformation, and digital governance.
Support the development, testing and assessment of AI use cases and digital initiatives.
Build practical guidance, tools, and learning formats that help colleagues use digital and AI solutions effectively and securely.
Contribute to AI readiness, digital governance, and responsible technology use across the portfolio.
Lead and continuously improve the Information Security Management System (ISMS). Coordinate information security measures, risk assessments, audits, and awareness activities.
Act as the focal point for information security and basic data protection topics.
