Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Site Supervision Engineer role based in Amman. The Site Supervision Engineer will oversee day-to-day construction activities, monitor contractor performance, and ensure work complies with design drawings, specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related engineering field; professional registration or licensing is an advantage.
- 3 to 7 years of practical experience in residential projects (villas/private buildings).
- Previous experience in site supervision for building or infrastructure projects, preferably within Jordan or the region.
- Strong technical knowledge in civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, or electrical disciplines, with ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience in reviewing and coordinating shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals with design teams and contractors.
- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards and familiarity with local codes and regulations.
- Ability to work full time on-site in Amman, conduct regular inspections, and adapt to changing project needs.
Skills
- Professional expertise in site supervision, including monitoring construction activities, quality control, and compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
- Solid knowledge of construction materials and concrete works.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering and office software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar, MS Office, project documentation tools).
- Effective communication and coordination skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and client representatives.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time-management abilities in a fast-paced site environment.
- Capability to supervise contractors and workers while ensuring quality control.
- Attention to structural details and accuracy.
- Managing paperwork and auditing invoices.
