The challenge
You're not here to attend meetings and send follow-up emails. You're here to open a market where trust is earned face-to-face and competitors have been operating for years. You'll need to build partnerships that survive counteroffers and market changes.
This isn't relationship management. It's strategic warfare with a handshake. AI can track your pipeline and generate reports. Only you can read a room, build trust, and close a deal that took six months of relationship-building.
Why this matters
Deriv's mission is Trading for Anyone, Anywhere, Anytime. The MENA region has millions of traders who need access to platforms that don't limit them based on geography or wealth.
You're not supporting growth. You're creating it. The partnerships you close directly determine whether Deriv reaches the next million traders or gets stuck at the last.
Why Deriv
- Learn from global experience. You'll work with teams who have opened markets across Southeast Asia, Latin America, and beyond. You'll learn what works and apply it.
- Your wins are visible. Every partnership you close shows up in active users, transaction volume, and regional growth.
- Support when you need it. You'll have access to legal, compliance, and product teams to help you navigate complex deals.
- Tools that cut the busywork. We're building automation to handle CRM updates, reporting, and scheduling—so you spend less time on admin and more time closing. You won't just use these tools—you'll tell us what to build next.
What you'll do
- Build and nurture partnerships. You'll cultivate relationships with high-value partners, becoming their trusted advisor for Deriv's trading solutions.
- Identify growth opportunities. You'll analyze market opportunities and competitive landscapes to identify strategic growth initiatives.
- Execute expansion plans. You'll design and execute region-specific expansion plans that resonate with local market needs.
- Build brand presence. You'll lead initiatives to enhance brand awareness and market presence in your assigned territories.
- Adapt offerings to local markets. You'll collaborate with global teams to adapt our offerings to local preferences and requirements.
- Represent Deriv. You'll travel to meet partners and represent Deriv at industry events.
- Flag what slows you down. When you're stuck doing manual work—data entry, repetitive reporting, chasing approvals—you tell us. We'd rather automate it than watch you waste time on it.
Who you are
- You speak Arabic and English fluently. Not just conversational—you negotiate complex deals, understand cultural nuances, and read between the lines in both languages.
- You've closed deals others couldn't. 4+ years in business development or sales, with proof you've landed partnerships that moved the needle. Preferably in financial services, fintech, or digital platforms.
- You think like an owner. You don't wait for instructions. You see problems, propose solutions, and execute without hand-holding.
- You handle rejection without losing momentum. Not every pitch lands. You learn from losses, adjust your approach, and keep moving.
The honest reality
This is demanding work. You'll manage multiple partnerships at different stages at the same time. You'll negotiate deals that take months to close, only to have partners go quiet.
The MENA region presents real challenges: regulatory complexity across multiple jurisdictions, established competitors, and partners who've heard every pitch. You'll need resilience, cultural intelligence, and the ability to stay optimistic when progress feels slow.
But when you close a partnership, you'll see immediate impact. Active users. Transaction volume. Regional expansion that your work unlocked.
If you want predictable, linear growth, this isn't it. But if you want to build something from the ground up—keep reading.
