Job Summary
The Senior Research & Analysis Officer is responsible for conducting in-depth primary and secondary research to support strategic decision-making, business growth initiatives, and performance improvement. The role translates data and insights into actionable recommendations, ensuring research outputs directly address real business challenges and inform future growth opportunities.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and execute primary research activities including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and stakeholder consultations.
- Conduct secondary research using credible internal and external data sources, industry reports, benchmarks, and market intelligence.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance gaps.
- Translate research findings into clear insights, strategic implications, and practical recommendations for leadership and business units.
- Prepare structured research reports, presentations, dashboards, and executive summaries tailored to decision-makers.
- Support strategic planning, market entry assessments, product development, and growth initiatives through evidence-based analysis.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define research objectives, problem statements, and success criteria.
- Ensure data accuracy, methodological rigor, and compliance with ethical research standards.
- Monitor market, industry, customer, and competitor trends and proactively share insights relevant to organizational growth.
- Support forecasting, scenario analysis, and business case development where required.
- Maintain organized research databases and documentation for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the direct supervisor related to research and strategic analysis.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Data Analytics, Social Sciences, or a related field is required.
A Master’s degree is an advantage.
Minimum Experience
- 5–7 years of experience in research, analysis, strategy, or business intelligence roles.
- Proven experience applying research insights to real business or strategic decisions.
Training And Certifications
Relevant certifications in research methods, data analysis, or business analytics are an advantage.
