Wood Factory Manager
Job Summary:
The Wood Factory Manager oversees all production operations within the wood manufacturing facility, ensuring high levels of quality, productivity, efficiency, and safety. The role includes managing teams, optimizing processes, controlling resources, and ensuring that production targets are met according to operational plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day factory operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe workflow.
- Develop and implement production plans to meet deadlines and output targets.
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Manage factory staff, including supervisors, technicians, and workers, while identifying training needs.
- Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and consumables, and coordinate with procurement for replenishment.
- Optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor and ensure proper maintenance of machines and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Enforce occupational health and safety standards and ensure full compliance.
- Prepare periodic reports for senior management on performance, production, and operational issues.
- Participate in preparing the factory’s operating budget and controlling operational costs.
- Lead continuous improvement and development initiatives within the factory.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in factory management, preferably in wood manufacturing or similar industries.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Good knowledge of quality standards and occupational health and safety practices.
- Strong analytical and financial understanding to support cost control and performance improvement.
- Ability to work under pressure and solve operational problems effectively.
