Accountabilities and Key Roles:
- Design and oversee the execution of comprehensive governance frameworks across all countries for bank-wide card operations.
- Lead initiatives to drive cards operation excellence, process optimization, policy and procedure review and cost efficiencies across card operations.
- Monitor regulatory, compliance, schemes mandates and risk-related changes and proactively align internal operations accordingly.
- Prepare a strategic dashboard for monitoring and reporting transactions to senior leadership.
- Monitor and analyze transaction trends, schemes invoices, and vendor invoices to ensure the bank maintains a healthy billing position.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across Operations, IT, Compliance, Risk, and external vendors to ensure end-to-end integrity and efficiency of card workflows.
- Oversee vendor and partner governance related to card processing, ensuring contractual performance, SLA adherence, and regulatory compliance.
- Represent the department in strategic governance forums and regulatory/internal audit discussions.
- Act as escalation point for complex operational or governance issues and provide resolution direction.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, banking and finance or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in card operations or financial services, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or governance-focused role.
Competencies:
- Deep understanding of cards operations, schemes, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong governance mindset with proven ability to implement control frameworks across bank-level cards operations.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing skills, and cross-functional leadership.
- Strong data-driven mindset with ability to analyze trends, identify operational gaps, and drive resolution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills & High proficiency in analytics and operations reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, etc.).
