Mines Advisory Group (MAG) is a global humanitarian organization operating in more than 35 countries. We are a co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, and our mission is to create a world free from the devastating effects of armed violence, focusing on:
Clearing landmines and explosive remnants of war
Providing explosive ordnance risk education
Reducing the impact of armed violence through weapons and ammunition management
As part of MAG’s strategic priority to strengthen our systems and processes, we are developing our Amman Regional Office as a global hub for Digital Technology, Innovation and Information Management.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking an experienced IT Officer - Global Support to join our growing technology team. Based in Amman, this role will support MAG’s global operations by delivering high-quality IT support, administering cloud platforms, and leading IT projects that enhance systems, security and ways of working across the organisation.
You will:
Provide expert technical support to HQ and overseas programme staff (desk-side and remote)
Administer Microsoft 365 and Azure AD / Entra environments.
Manage user administration, system access and IT induction training.
Maintain IT asset registers and helpdesk ticketing systems.
Act as a technical resource to country programmes, supporting cloud platforms and core systems.
Lead assigned IT projects from initiation through to implementation and transition into business-as-usual.
Ensure adherence to data security standards and industry best practice.
Promote adoption of standardised global IT processes and tools.
ABOUT YOU
You will bring:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT roles.
Proven experience managing end-to-end IT projects.
Strong Microsoft 365 and Azure AD administration experience.
Experience managing IT security tools (MFA, MDM, firewalls, encryption, antivirus, email security)
Solid understanding of networking, infrastructure and IT security risks.
Experience training or guiding users in Microsoft collaboration tools.
Microsoft certification or equivalent professional experience.
Fluency in English.
