Position Purpose
The incumbent supports formulating the right IT solution strategy for the Factory. He/She serves as solution architect responsible for driving the selection, design and delivery of IT solutions to support Factory's growth and transformation objectives, actively engaging with business stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of business requirements, and alignment with strategic priorities.
- He/She is responsible for ensuring the stable, secure, and efficient operation of the organization's on-premise IT infrastructure. This role involves the hands-on maintenance, support, and optimization of physical servers, networks, workstations, and associated systems. The incumbent actively contributes to the design and delivery of new infrastructure solutions, maintains adherence to security protocols and business continuity plans, and ensures compliance with governance standards, ultimately providing reliable IT services that support business operations.
Main Areas of Responsibility
Hardware/Software Management & Troubleshooting
- Tracking hardware and software requirements and renewals, managing all the important global projects cascaded down by Global IT team and insure full IT compliance.
- Problem solving, implementation and all technical support activities and multi-tasking various projects, maybe required to travel as needed by the business.
- Manages related activities in line with Company Global direction and supports systems infrastructure development.
- Responsible for the configuration and installation of current technology computer hardware and related equipment and connecting them to the network.
- Responsible on the installation, maintenance and improvement of the electronic mailing system for the users’ side and also for the administrator side.
- He /She has to encourage the users to raise their technical IT isues to be handled by the Centres of Excellence
Business Change Management
- Coordinates IT activities with related local business organizations according to corporate IT objectives.
- Proactively looks for potential business improvements and supports designated business power users to formally raise requisite IT change requests to support these business transformation initiatives, ensuring compliance with JTI's IT change management process.
- Conduct an initial assessment and provide timely feedback on potential issues/risks.
- Responsible for analyzing and implementing subsequent change requests for solution enhancements, as per JTI's IT change management process.
Business Analysis
- Through proactive business involvement, drive the completion of the detailed functional and technical analysis of business transformation and change initiatives.
- Responsible for completing the required documentation, ensuring adherence to JTI quality standards.
- Collect business requirements and convert into technical requirements.
- Coordinate the sign-off process and assist with effort estimation.
- Support the preparation of test scenarios and test cases.
Solution Design, Delivery and Project Management
- Actively contributes to and executes on-site infrastructure solutions, rather than leading full project lifecycles.
- Solution Design (Contribution) Helps define technical requirements for on-site hardware and software, evaluates feasibility of proposed solutions, assists in selecting appropriate infrastructure components, and contributes to technical documentation and security considerations during the planning phase.
- Solution Delivery (Hands-On Implementation) Performs installation and configuration of servers, networking gear, and other on-site hardware. Conducts system integration, executes testing and validation, assists with data migration, and troubleshoots issues during deployment.
- Project Management (Support Role) Understands basic project lifecycles, efficiently manages assigned tasks, coordinates with internal IT teams, provides status updates to project leads, and helps identify technical risks related to on-site deployments.
- Support the local roll-out of global solutions.
Security, Business Continuity, Compliance & Governance
- Responsible of the security, safety and confidentiality of all information system environments.

- Ensures the secure, resilient, and compliant operation of on-site infrastructure.
- Security Implements and enforces access controls, network security, endpoint protection (antivirus, patching). Responds to security incidents, manages vulnerabilities, and upholds data security policies.
- Business Continuity Contributes to disaster recovery planning and backup strategies. Ensures high availability for critical systems and participates in DR testing.
- Compliance & Governance Adheres to IT policies and regulatory requirements. Supports audits, manages IT risks, and ensures documentation aligns with governance standards.
