About This Opportunity
We are now looking for an Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement intelligent automation solutions that enhance IT operations, improve incident and change management, and enable digital transformation.
In this role, you will blend traditional automation techniques with AI/ML technologies to deliver scalable, end-to-end solutions that drive operational excellence, efficiency, and customer satisfaction within Ericsson’s Service Excellence organization.
What You Will Do
- Design and implement Runbook and Robotic Process Automations (RPA) integrating with AI/ML for predictive and self-healing operations.
- Develop and maintain automated alarm detection and troubleshooting systems, using both static thresholds and machine learning–based anomaly detection.
- Create automation scripts, workflows, and APIs to integrate automation with existing MSDP platforms and operational tools.
- Conduct root cause analysis of recurring incidents and develop automated remediation actions.
- Analyze customer environments, translate business requirements into automation use cases, and propose scalable solutions.
- Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and demos to internal teams and customers, supporting pre-sales and adoption efforts.
- Track and report progress on automation projects, highlighting measurable business impact such as efficiency gains, incident reduction, and cost savings.
- Stay current with new technologies and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and innovation initiatives.
You will bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years in automation development, telecom operations, or IT service management.
- Technical Skills:
- Scripting: Python, Bash, PHP, JSON, JavaScript, or Perl.
- Databases: MySQL, MariaDB, MS SQL Server, or Oracle.
- Automation Tools: ENABLE, MITO, UiPath, or similar RPA and orchestration frameworks.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, APIs, and cloud environments.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional, multicultural teams.
- Flexible, adaptive, and capable of working under tight timelines.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
