Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Category Management Specialist to support the development, execution, and performance optimization of assigned product categories at Baytonia. In this role, you will play a critical part in analyzing market trends, managing product lifecycles, supporting sourcing activities, and ensuring the right product mix is available across both physical and digital channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
- Monitor and analyze key category metrics such as sales performance, margins, pricing, and inventory turnover.
- Oversee product merchandising within the catalog, ensuring product listings are optimized with accurate descriptions, specifications, pricing, and visuals to enhance customer experience and conversion.
- Prepare regular reports and insights to support data-driven decisions.
- Assist in product selection, SKU rationalization, and lifecycle tracking.
- Ensure timely introduction of new products and the phase-out of underperforming items..
- Collaborate with the procurement team to source products (new and refills).
- Ensure alignment between sourcing activities and category strategies.
- Work closely with the marketing team to coordinate promotions, campaigns, and forecasting.
- Ensure availability of signature products in the showrooms, coordinating with inventory and operations teams to maintain proper stock levels and visual presentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in category management, supply chain, procurement, or retail buying.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Power BI) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
