About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Field Service Engineer to lead the installation, maintenance, and repair of our advanced X-ray screening systems at Amman Airport. This role also involves supervising a team of Field Service Engineers, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and supporting both technical operations and customer satisfaction.
You’ll play a key role in developing team capabilities, improving service processes, and acting as a technical expert for both internal teams and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and support Field Service Engineers; act as the primary technical point of contact.
- Oversee daily service operations and ensure alignment with customer expectations and SLAs.
- Interface with customer operators to resolve equipment issues and provide status updates.
- Ensure all planned maintenance visits are completed on schedule.
- Conduct site surveys and prepare reports prior to installations.
- Lead installation, commissioning, and servicing of Rapiscan X-ray and Trace systems.
- Distribute technical information to the team and coordinate with stakeholders for planned work.
- Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for complex systems.
- Manage spare parts logistics, including ordering, installation, and returns.
- Recommend spare parts strategies for different service levels and maintenance intervals.
- Plan team holiday schedules to ensure consistent service coverage and call-out availability.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in a field service environment; experience in the X-ray industry is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of high-end X-ray systems (RTT, ETD, BPI) or computed tomography is a major advantage.
- Experience with PLC programming is a plus.
- Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows-based systems.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for complex technical systems.
- Flexible and adaptable to change; able to travel extensively on short notice and for extended periods (up to one month).
Desirable Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- MBA or PMP certification.
- Experience in customer service
