Job Purpose
The Inventory Senior Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate purchasing and inventory records, reconciling work orders, and preparing reports to support effective warehouse and inventory operations. The role ensures availability of top-moving products, prevents stock discrepancies, and contributes to improving efficiency, accuracy, and cost control across Floward’s operations.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control & Record Management
- Maintain detailed records of inventory, equipment, shipments, repairs, and costs.
- Review and reconcile work orders within the system to ensure accuracy of parts and materials.
- Track inbound and outbound orders to prevent overstocking and out-of-stock (OOS) situations.
- Monitor product codes and troubleshoot discrepancies between stock and system records.
- Submit stagnancy and balance reports to the Inventory Manager.
Receiving & Warehouse Coordination
- Receive incoming items at warehouses, verify conformity with purchase requests, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Coordinate closely with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Check date-sensitive products for expiration and ensure timely removal or transfer.
- Take ownership of minimizing damage and loss of items.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare, generate, and file monthly financial inventory reports, reviewing results with management.
- Design and create inventory reports as required.
- Analyze operational data to identify issues, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Track rates of accuracy, purchase, returns, and defective items to support quality control decisions.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Develop and implement improvements to existing inventory and warehouse procedures to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with occupational safety and health guidelines.
- File claims for defective products where necessary.
Cross-Functional Support
- Assist Category Management in the product creation process (e.g., creating new codes, checking product availability).
- Support Sales by responding to inquiries and facilitating timely order fulfillment.
- Coordinate with multiple functions to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery.
Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Operations, Logistics, Mathematics, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory and warehouse operations, preferably in an e-commerce company.
- Proven experience working with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 (MSD 365) or similar platforms.
- Strong aptitude for inventory management and data accuracy.
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining data models, reporting systems, dashboards, and handling large datasets.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Arabic).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with solid organizational and communication skills.
