About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with IFRS and company policies.
- Support budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis to guide management decisions.
- Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across systems and reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) is an advantage.
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, preferably in the government or sports sector.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., Oracle, MSD) and advanced Excel skills.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work independently.
