About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Compliance Officer to join our Compliance team. This role plays a key part in supporting the company’s compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to internal policies, applicable laws, and regulatory requirements. The Compliance Officer will assist in implementing governance controls, monitoring risks, and promoting a culture of compliance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance Monitoring
- Assist in conducting regular and ad-hoc compliance risk assessments and testing to identify potential areas of vulnerability.
- Support compliance with company policies, applicable laws, and regulations to mitigate risks and maintain organizational integrity.
Due Diligence & Compliance Requests
- Assist in completing due diligence processes and responding to internal and external compliance requests.
- Support the use of screening tools to review individuals and entities against relevant watchlists and databases.
Risk Assessment
- Help identify and assess compliance risks within the organization.
- Assist in developing risk mitigation strategies and implementing corrective actions.
Training & Awareness
- Participate in developing and delivering compliance training programs to ensure employees understand compliance requirements and best practices.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on compliance-related questions to promote a culture of accountability.
Reporting & Documentation
- Conduct compliance audits and prepare reports as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance records to ensure transparency and regulatory adherence.
Regulatory Research
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices.
- Conduct research on new regulations and their potential impact on the company.
Compliance Investigations
- Assist in investigations of compliance-related issues and incidents.
- Help prepare reports and recommend corrective actions to strengthen compliance processes.
Other Duties
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Compliance Director, adapting to varying responsibilities and prioritizing work effectively.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, law, or a related field.
- Excellent proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Basic understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a compliance, audit, or related role.
