Job Summary
Develops and maintains the internal controls framework at MS Pharma Group, ensuring compliance and identifying process improvements. conduct control assessments, implement SOPs, and report to senior management on audit findings and risk mitigation. The role involves collaboration with Finance and Audit teams to ensure robust governance and compliance.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, document and maintain an effective internal financials controls framework throughout the MS Pharma Group
- Build and enforce financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with IFRS, industry standards and best practices of effective internal financial controls
- Train staff and conduct regular control assessments and reviews – Balance Sheet reviews and reconciliations, A/R and Inventory reviews, minimum Internal Control Reviews, Risk Assessment etc. to identify improvement areas and process improvement.
- Collaborate with various departments to design, draft, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that align with best practices and enhance operational efficiency.
- Analyze existing financial processes and controls, recommending effective solutions to mitigate risks and improve overall performance.
- Prepare and present detailed reports to senior management on the status of internal financial controls, audit findings and respective remediations, and recommendations for enhancements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to internal financial controls and IFRS.
- Collaborate with the Finance Function as well as the Internal and External audit function.
Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration with preference of master’s degree
- Accounting Designation (CA, CPA, ACCA, CIA) a must
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Corporate Finance, Internal financial controls, Internal or external auditing with a proven track record in developing and implementing effective control frameworks. Experience in large/ multinational Pharma and/or Big Four Audit firms is preferable.
- Excellent command in English Language – written and spoken
- Strong communication skills
