Job Description & Summary
As a
Senior Accountant, you will perform advanced accounting functions across the General Ledger, financial reporting, reconciliations, and tax preparation while ensuring full compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Your role is critical in maintaining accuracy, transparency, and efficiency in all financial operations, supporting informed decision-making across the business.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Ensuring all accounting activities comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable financial laws.
- Guaranteeing high-quality internal administration, filing, and traceability of all documents for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Preparing, reviewing, and approving all accounting entries in line with international standards.
- Performing daily and monthly bank reconciliations, verifying transfers, charges, and interest against agreements.
- Managing journal entries, including cash advances, purchases, travel expenses, and customer invoices.
- Assisting in preparation of internal and external financial reports and supporting audits.
- Preparing tax reports and maintaining compliance with financial legislation.
- Controlling customer cheques, payments, deposits, and reconciling accounts with vendors, sister companies, and insurance entities.
- Coordinating Letters of Credit, bank guarantees, and maintaining complete, organized filings.
- Monitoring and auditing cashier reports, sub-fund balances, and stock counts to ensure zero discrepancies.
- Supporting year-end closing, reconciliations, and ensuring timely, accurate data entry.
- Assisting the Chief Accountant with additional tasks and reporting requirements as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- JCPA is an advantage.
- Minimum of years of accounting experience.
- Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, financial regulations, and company policies.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills with exceptional attention to detail.
