Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Internal Audit Officer to join our team at CFI. As the Internal Audit Officer, you will be responsible for evaluating internal controls, financial processes, and compliance with policies and regulations. The role focuses mainly on reviewing financial activities, ensuring accuracy of records, and strengthening the organization’s control environment.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in planning and executing audit assignments, especially those related to finance, treasury, payments, accounting records, and approval workflows.
- Assess the effectiveness of internal controls such as segregation of duties, authority limits, access rights, and financial recording processes.
- Conduct walkthroughs, sample testing, and data analysis to identify control gaps, or non-compliance.
- Document audit work clearly and prepare draft findings with practical recommendations.
- Assist in preparing audit reports and presenting results to management.
- Follow up on open audit recommendations to ensure timely and effective implementation of corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement of audit tools, templates, and methodologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or financial control.
- Good understanding of financial processes, accounting standards, and internal control concepts.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting/ERP systems.
