Bank of Jordan, a leading financial institution in the region, is seeking a meticulous and skilled Surveyor to join our team. As a Surveyor at Bank of Jordan, you will be responsible for conducting land, building, and site surveys to provide critical data for construction and development projects. Your expertise will ensure that all surveying activities are performed to the highest standards and are compliant with legal requirements.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to deliver precise and accurate surveying solutions that facilitate the successful execution of the bank's capital projects.
Responsibilities
- Review field topographic surveys submitted by surveying companies, document recommendations, and submit them to the direct supervisor.
- Provide technical and regulatory recommendations related to properties and submit them to the direct supervisor.
- Follow up with land and surveying departments to obtain ongoing technical updates about properties and lands.
- Review technical aspects of possession status reports received from the legal department, document recommendations, and submit them to the direct supervisor.
- Manage and resolve any technical transactions or issues related to the bank at land and surveying departments.
- Define land boundaries and road paths and study topographic maps.
- Regularly communicate with appraisers and experts to ensure accurate property and land valuations, document recommendations, and submit to the direct supervisor.
- Conduct land and property subdivision assessments both technically and in the field, study subdivision and zoning plans, document recommendations, and submit them to the direct supervisor.
- Contribute to preparing statements related to the bank's properties, highlighting zoning types and areas, document recommendations, and submit them to the direct supervisor.
- Review classification and categorization lists of the real estate portfolio, document all work transactions, and maintain records and statements in an organized manner for easy reference.
- Participate in technical reviews of property sales transactions, document recommendations, and submit them for appropriate action.
- Update the real estate portfolio (legal papers - property valuations) related to the area of responsibility.
- Review all transactions related to the partitioning of joint ownership from a technical perspective, document recommendations, and submit to the direct supervisor.
- Serve as a core or alternate member of the business continuity and emergency response teams as assigned, ensuring tasks are executed to minimize crisis impacts and restore operations promptly
Requirements
- Certified Surveyor (Licensed Surveyor), Topographic Engineer, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of practical experience in the field.
- Good knowledge of surveying tools, equipment, software, and GIS systems.
- Proficient in computer use and various applied systems.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Accuracy and speed in task completion.
- Moderate planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes.
- Knowledge of Land Department Law, Debt Enforcement Law, Municipal Laws, and Greater Amman Municipality regulations
