Location: Makkah, Saudi Arabia (Relocation required if not currently residing)
We are seeking a visionary and highly experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the technology arm of a fast-growing Q-Commerce platform. In the initial phase, the CTO will focus on building and leading a high-performing tech team to develop, launch, and continuously improve the platform and its applications—ensuring alignment with both market needs and user expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of the platform and customer-facing applications (web and mobile).
- Build and manage a cross-functional tech team including engineers, designers, product managers, and QA specialists.
- Align product features and technical infrastructure with user expectations and market dynamics.
- Define and execute the technology roadmap, starting from MVP to scalable and fully operational stages.
- Ensure high system performance, security, and scalability across all services.
- Work closely with operations and marketing teams to ensure seamless integration between tech and business goals.
- Oversee DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure management.
- Establish and enforce Agile best practices and quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies and third-party tools to accelerate development and maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements
- 5 to 10+ years of experience in software engineering and technical leadership roles.
- Proven track record in hiring, managing, and scaling tech teams in fast-paced environments.
- Strong product-oriented mindset with a deep understanding of user experience and behavior.
- Prior experience in building and launching e-commerce, Q-Commerce, or logistics platforms is a strong plus.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), APIs, and modern web/mobile development frameworks.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, product development cycles, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
