Summary:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial and accounting operations of the members. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Job description:
- Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting
- Assist in Preparing and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Support the annual audit process
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and systems
- Monitor Revenue recognition across the different entities
- Arrange payments for vendors & suppliers on time.
- Support Sales and other teams with issuing Bank LCs & LGs and other financial requirements as needed.
- Prepare salaries and payroll across the entity and make the proper accounting treatment.
- Submitting VAT reports on the proper time intervals
- Preparing withholding tax reports and paying them on time.
- Government payments such as social security, and employees' income tax.
- Proper treatment of intercompany transactions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent command of English Language On-site - Amman, Jordan.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, Professional Certificate is a Plus.
