I. Role Summary:
The Procurement Officer is responsible for supporting the procurement processes of goods and services, assisting in vendor coordination, and ensuring compliance with company policies. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient purchasing activities within the UAE, Cyprus and Greece.
II. Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 1–3 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably within a corporate, real estate, or construction setting.
III. Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement Support:
- Assist in sourcing and comparing suppliers for materials, services, and equipment.
- Prepare purchase requests and issue purchase orders in coordination with internal departments.
- Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
2. Vendor Coordination:
- Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotations, follow up on deliveries, and resolve routine issues.
- Support the evaluation and onboarding process of new vendors.
- Maintain and update the approved vendor list.
3. Contract & Documentation Assistance:
- Assist in reviewing basic contract terms and liaise with the legal team for complex agreements.
- Ensure all procurement documentation is accurate, complete, and archived in compliance with company procedures.
4. Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures.
- Support audits and internal reviews by providing required procurement data and reports.
- Monitor supplier compliance with basic service level expectations.
IV. Skills & Competencies:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic understanding of procurement processes and documentation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with vendors and internal teams.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/procurement systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, or similar).
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
V. Preferred Knowledge (a plus but not mandatory):
- Exposure to procurement practices in the UAE, Greece and Cyprus
- Knowledge of import/export procedures or logistics coordination.
