Title: Business Continuity Officer
Role Description
The primary role of this position is to support the Group Business
Continuity Team in any related projects, and responsible for providing
administrative support for the BCM function across all Bank ABC premises and
any incident events that arises from time to time.
Qualifications & Skills
Key Accountabilities:
Assist with the definition and recommendation of the BCM for all departments within the units dovetailing with
the approved business strategy to the Group Business Continuity Committee for
the unit.
- Implementation of framework for BCM across the unit:
Coordinate the implementation of the framework for the management of BCM across for the unit as
directed by the Local Business Continuity Committee;
Direct & lead the activation of partial BCPs in branches and ensure the continuity of operations
of the branch; Ensure that the BCM arrangements of the various local branches (if applicable) are consistent with the BCM arrangements made by the unit’s Head Office and with the Group;
Ensure that local regulatory requirements are being complied with; Contribute with maintaining the 2-year
rolling Business Continuity plan for the unit;
Facilitation and preparing for the local and cross-border BC tests as directed by the Group or Local BCM
Committee;
Support the Local Crisis Management Team i times of crisis.

- DR - Training
Raise Business Continuity awareness across the unit;
Knowledge
- Display knowledge of at least three of the 10 recognised Business Continuity, CMT and Evacuation tests, Business Processes and BIA domains: Access Controls, Application Security, Cryptography, Risk Management, Compliance and Investigations, Operations Security, Physical Security, Security Architecture and Telecommunications
- Displays basic knowledge of database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase)
- Display basic knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows, Unix and Linux)
- Display basic knowledge of Networks and firewalls
- Display basic knowledge of IT processes: application development, change and release management, incident and problem management, software asset management, IT risk management, security management, data management.
Education / Certifications
University Degree in Information Technology/Information Systems/Computer sciences from an accredited 3-4 year programme.
Experience
At least 3-5 years of experience
