Job Description & Summary
As a
Collections Supervisor, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing collection activities to ensure timely recovery of outstanding payments while maintaining strong customer relationships. You will be responsible for monitoring overdue accounts, implementing effective collection strategies, and supporting the team in achieving performance targets.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Acting as the main point of contact for customers with overdue debts and handling escalated cases.
- Conducting daily follow-up calls and communication with clients to resolve payment issues efficiently.
- Monitoring and reconciling defaulted accounts and recommending appropriate actions or tools to support collection efforts.
- Preparing accurate and up-to-date collection reports and documentation.
- Coordinating with internal departments to match records and verify client account statuses.
- Managing the collection of postdated cheques and following up on returned or declined cheques.
- Referring unresolved or bad debt cases to the Collection Manager as needed.
- Maintaining and updating customer contact information in collection records.
- Attending public auctions, if required, with the legal consultant for repossessed vehicles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in collections or credit management.
- Strong knowledge of collection laws, policies, and procedures.
