Job Summary
We are looking for a
Junior Accountant to join our Finance Department. Will help with daily accounting tasks, follow company financial procedures, record all incoming and outgoing financial documents, and prepare needed reports. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and ready to work with both internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Tasks
- Help carry out all activities in the Finance Department based on company policies and approved procedures.
- Enter daily accounting records into the system and make sure all documents are complete and accurate.
- Prepare supplier payments (cheques or bank transfers), apply any required deductions, and enter them into the system.
- Handle monthly closings in the financial system.
- Match and check balances for money the company owes or is owed, and report any differences.
- Collect and match end-of-year balance confirmations from suppliers.
- Record bank deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and earned commissions in the system.
Documents & Reporting
- Prepare regular financial reports and any other reports requested by the Head of Accounts.
- Review monthly aging reports showing unpaid bills and their due dates.
- Organize and follow up on payment and receipt documents, including expenses, guarantees, and employee payments (like salaries, bonuses, and allowances).
- Keep all financial documents, reports, and files stored safely and in an organized way for easy access.
- Help with inventory counts when asked by management.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Skills
- Good at organizing and managing time.
- Able to follow up and work with other teams.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Basic leadership and adaptability to change.
- Good English language skills.
- Good at using Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using ERP accounting systems.
Technical Knowledge
- Solid understanding of accounting systems and principles.
- Good knowledge of how to manage income and expenses.
- Awareness of the company’s services and operations.
