Arab Bank is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our robust cloud infrastructure team. Reporting directly to the Head of Cloud Infrastructure, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud environments across GCP, Azure, Anthos, and OpenShift. Your expertise will help ensure the scalability, security, and efficiency of our cloud operations, contributing to the bank's digital transformation journey.
Accountabilities and Key Roles:
- Cloud Architecture and Implementation: Design and implement cloud-based solutions on GCP, Azure, Anthos, and OpenShift, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks, including patch management and infrastructure hardening to ensure system integrity and security.
- Service Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor cloud services for availability and performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Security Collaboration: Work closely with the cloud security unit under the security umbrella to ensure all cloud deployments align with security requirements and mandates.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of cloud infrastructure processes and configurations, providing regular updates and reports to the Head of Cloud Infrastructure.
- Innovation and Efficiency: Stay informed about the latest cloud technologies and trends, proposing innovative solutions to improve infrastructure strategies and operations.
- Cross-functional Support: Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to deliver seamless cloud solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with expertise in GCP, Azure, Anthos, and OpenShift platforms.
Competencies:
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in cloud architecture, networking, security, and automation tools.
- Problem-solving Abilities: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve complex technical challenges.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Certifications: Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus.
