We’re looking for a Frontend Engineer to help rebuild and scale a high-impact livelihoods platform used by thousands across the region. This is an opportunity to deliver accessible, bilingual, and high-performance web experiences that truly matter.
What You’ll Do- Build accessible, responsive, and performant UI for Arabic/English (LTR/RTL) environments with strong internationalization (i18n) standards.
- Lead the creation of a reusable design system and modular component library.
- Optimize for Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse performance, telemetry, and error tracking.
- Collaborate with product, backend, and QA teams in two-week agile sprints with demos and measurable outcomes.
- Contribute to the platform’s scalability, reliability, and accessibility maturity.
Scope & Deliverables- Deliver feature-complete user flows with aXe-clean accessibility and Lighthouse ≥90 across all categories.
- Implement robust forms, client-side routing, state management, and analytics events.
- Produce detailed documentation (README, ADRs, and handover runbooks) for seamless continuity.
Your Toolkit- Frameworks: React/Next.js or Vue/Nuxt with TypeScript and modern state management.
- APIs: REST/GraphQL integration and schema-driven development.
- Testing: Jest, Playwright, or Cypress for strong quality assurance.
- Frontend Craft: Mastery of CSS (flex/grid), responsive design, web performance, and accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA compliance).
