About the Role The grants manager will play a pivotal role in designing, organizing, and managing the dissemination of funds, ensuring efficient, transparent, and compliant allocation to implementing partners. Reporting to the Program Development Senior Manager and collaborating closely with the Strategic Working Group, the Grants Manager will prepare documentation, facilitate due diligence, and support the Steering Committee in decision-making. This role requires strong financial oversight, stakeholder coordination, and a commitment to achieving the fund’s objectives of youth empowerment and economic impact.
Responsibilities -
- Lead the development of fund strategic plans, annual plans, budgets, and selection criteria for fund investments.
- Assist in preparing joint guidelines for project management, financial processes, procurement, and vendor contracting procedures, ensuring alignment with the company and donor strategic priorities.
- Oversee the allocation and disbursement of grants to implementing partners based on pre-approved project budgets and plans in alignment with the fund’s objectives, guidelines, and approved budgets, ensuring accurate tracking and reconciliation of the suffix account.
- Conduct due diligence on potential implementing partners to ensure alignment with quality, scalability, and employment outcomes.
- Compile and present compliance, financial, and progress reports, including periodic account statements, expense reports, and supporting documentation, for Steering Committee review.
- Act as the primary point of contact for both internal and implementing partners and assume the lead on portfolio technical and financial management and reporting.
- Monitor partner compliance with fund guidelines, including tracking KPIs such as training completion rates, job placements, and career outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of case studies and knowledge products to showcase the fund’s impact and best practices.
- Provide data-driven insights to inform future funding decisions and strategy refinements.
- Lead on grant proposals that align and support the objectives of the program to support fund growth and sustainability.
Qualifications -
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or any related field
- Total Experience of 8-10 years/5 In Grant Management
Required Skills -
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in grants management, financial oversight, or program administration, preferably in the nonprofit or development sector.
- Proven track record of managing multi-stakeholder funds and working with diverse implementing partners.
- Experience in youth empowerment, workforce development, or economic inclusion programs is highly desirable.
