Leads on support functions within the Jordan River Designs Department related to inbound/outbound shipping, clearance, and other logistic requirements, and general business development functions.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provides support and assistance in the procurement process of all new requests for good and services for JRF to ensure providing the needed logistics activities.
- Manages a database of current and potential vendors in local and international markets to source or recommend new vendors.
- Acts as a focal point with vendors regarding orders, new products, market conditions, and trends to coordinate the logistics activities.
- Prepares Requests for Proposals and procurement contracts, POs and processing tenders to collect quotations, proposals and bids.
- Analyze and prepare technical reports on suppliers’ quotations and offers to negotiate prices with suppliers and service providers when appropriate, in line with JRF and Donor policies.
- Coordinates the delivery to ensure receipt of goods and services.
- Supports programs / social enterprises in the development of procurement plans and assisting in their review on a regular basis to facilitate the procurement activities.
- Updates relevant colleagues about the status of their request and delivery, to maintain regular contact with supervisor on matters of procurement.
- Ensures that procurement is carried out in accordance with JRF and donor-specific policies and procedures. Following and enforcing the organization’s procurement policies and procedures.
- Coordinates with the Finance Department to make sure payments are delivered to the suppliers on time.
- Orders products and supplies which includes determining the appropriate vendor (i.e. comparing price and quality standards) and entering purchases into a tracker file.
- Performs the Logistics activities of Raw Material of Jordan River Designs and Karma Kitchen.
- Follows up on the logistics documentation (Shipping/Clearance/Exemptions) with the local departments (Tax/Customs/Chamber of Industry).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or any other related discipline.
- 5-7 years of experience.
- Strong English and Arabic language skills (written and spoken)
