Finance Manager (NGO’s Projects Accounting)
Key Responsibilities:
Budget Creation and Management:
- Develop and maintain detailed project budgets in collaboration with project teams, ensuring alignment with donor requirements.
- Adjust budgets based on changes in project scope, funding agreements, or organizational priorities
- Provide clear and accurate budget forecasts and updates to stakeholders
Financial Monitoring and Reporting:
- Prepare periodic budget vs. actual analysis, identifying variances and proposing corrective actions.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to donors, management, and other stakeholders
- Design and implement systems to track and report on project-specific income, expenditures, and cash flow.
Compliance and Donor Requirements:
- Ensure all project financial activities comply with donor agreements, organizational policies, and local regulations.
- Prepare for and support donor audits, ensuring proper documentation and reporting standards are met.
- Stay updated on donor financial guidelines and ensure their implementation across projects.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with project teams to provide financial guidance, support budget planning, and monitor expenditures.
- Act as the primary point of contact between finance and program teams to address financial queries and challenges.
- Foster collaboration across departments to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency.
Team Leadership and Management:
- Oversee the project accounting team, ensuring accurate and efficient management of financial transactions.
- Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluation to accounting staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Ensure timely reconciliation, reporting, and compliance within the accounting team.
Process Improvement:
- Develop and improve financial tools, templates, and systems to support project budget creation and reporting.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization in financial operations.
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard project resources and minimize financial risks.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience with proven track record of creating and managing project budgets, financial reporting, and donor compliance.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial management systems and tools (e.g., ERP systems, advanced MS Excel).
