Role Description
We are looking for a Cost Controller to join our team at Fame Restaurant in Amman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and controlling costs across all departments, with a strong focus on inventory accuracy, store management, and recipe costing. This role is crucial for maintaining profitability, minimizing waste, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Daily Stock Control – Beverage Area:
- Conduct daily physical stock checks in the beverage section and ensure that records match with system entries. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
- Monthly Stock Checks – Kitchen:
- Oversee and execute thorough monthly inventory counts in the kitchen, reconciling any variances with appropriate reporting and justification.
- Store Management (Minimum & Maximum Levels):
- Maintain and monitor minimum and maximum stock levels for all items. Ensure timely reordering while avoiding overstocking or stockouts.
- Recipe Costing and Integration with Sales & Inventory:
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to standardize and cost recipes accurately. Ensure all recipes are correctly entered and synced with the POS system to reflect inventory usage and item sales.
- Waste and Loss Control:
- Track, record, and report waste or breakage. Implement cost-saving measures where applicable.
- Receiving and Invoicing:
- Verify all incoming deliveries against purchase orders and ensure proper documentation. Accurately and promptly record invoices in the system.
- Reporting:
- Prepare regular cost analysis reports including item usage, stock variance, and profit margins.
Qualifications:- Proven experience in cost control, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Solid knowledge of inventory systems, recipe management, and food & beverage costing
- Experience with POS and inventory software
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
