Job Description
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Front Office / Operator to join our team in Aqaba, Jordan. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive and memorable experience for all visitors to our establishment.
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Handle check-in and check-out procedures efficiently
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly and courteously
- Manage room reservations and assignments
- Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure guest satisfaction
- Assist with concierge services, including providing local information and arranging transportation
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phone calls and emails
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred)
- 1-2 years of experience in hotel front desk or similar customer service role
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of hotel management software (e.g., Opera PMS)
- Excellent multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Basic accounting and cash handling skills
- Understanding of hotel operations and guest services
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus
