We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join our team at CFI. As a Senior Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role involves overseeing daily accounting operations, supervising staff, and providing financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making
Responsibilities
Coordinate and collaborate all on site accounting functions and oversee the daily operations of the team
Coordinate and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate completion
Ensure timely and accurate financial recording of the transactions and reconcile all general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
Oversee intercompany transactions among CFI entities to ensure accuracy in recording and reporting
Ensure adherence to financial regulations, accounting standards, and legal requirements
Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to senior management for strategic planning
Oversee the preparation and submission of Tax/Vat returns and other required documentation
Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory reports on weekly, monthly, quarterly & yearly basis
Coordinate with the external & internal auditors & address any issues or findings identified by them and implement corrective actions as needed
Oversee the financial aspects of contractual agreements and ensure they align with financial policies and objectives
Liaise with other departments, management, and external stakeholders regarding financial matters
Reconcile expense & revenue accounts to ensure the accurate recording and classification
Ensure accurate and timely banks & credit cards reconciliations with the company’s cash accounts to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded
Oversee the accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and vendor management
Review and approve journal entries
Set goals, conduct performance reviews, and address performance issues within the accounting department
Implement other tasks for his/her area of responsibility requested by the direct superior
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or any related field
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to interact with all levels of management
Experience with different accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP, Oracle)
Ability to interpret complex financial data and make data-driven decisions
Experience in leading and developing an accounting team
Proficient in MS Excel
Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements (e.g. IFRS).
Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures
Fluency in Arabic & English
Strong problem-solving skills to address financial challenges and discrepancies
Good Knowledge in the financial brokerage field
Good Knowledge in the International Markets (FX, Equities, Commodities, etc)
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Strong organizational skills
