Position Overview
The MEA Regional Finance Director is responsible for setting and overseeing the financial strategy and management of MS Pharma's Middle East and Africa Region, reporting directly to the Group CFO. The incumbent will lead all financial operations, ensure accounting compliance, and drive financial performance across multiple plants and countries/ clusters. The role involves close collaboration with key stakeholders, including MEA Management and Corporate Finance.
The MEA Finance Director will lead a Finance Team, incl. Plant finance staff, including accounting function and a team of commercial finance business partners, drive performance.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with regional and corporate goals.
- Provide financial leadership to drive business growth and operational efficiency for the MEA Region
- Partner with executive management to support strategic decision-making.
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Oversee the FP&A function for the MEA region, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Provide in-depth financial analysis to support business performance and investment decisions.
- Monitor key financial metrics and drive continuous improvement in financial processes.
- Plant & Business Unit Financial Oversight:
- Direct Plant Controller in MEA to ensure accurate financial reporting and internal controls.
- Work closely with plant finance teams to optimize cost structures and drive profitability.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Risk Management & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to financial regulatory requirements across MEA.
- Develop and implement risk management policies to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Lead internal control initiatives to strengthen financial governance.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting:
- Act as a key financial advisor to the MEA Business Team, regional business leaders and corporate headquarters.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and corporate finance teams.
- Drive transparency and accountability in financial reporting and decision-making.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Accounting and/ or Business Administration – MBA is highly preferred
- Professional certification (CPA, CA, ACCA, CFA) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in financial leadership roles of which a minimum of 10 years within the pharmaceutical industry (preferred is Pharma) in a multinational environment
- Demonstarted experience in FP&A, IFRS Accounting, Internal Controls
- Experience managing multi-site financial operations across different countries
- Leadership of a large and diverse Finance Team
