Role Description
The Project Lead Developer is a full-time, on-site role based in Amman, responsible for leading the technical development of AutoBeeb’s core platform and related services. This role oversees the end-to-end lifecycle of software projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. The Project Lead Developer coordinates with product management, design, and business stakeholders to translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions. Day-to-day tasks include supervising the development team, reviewing code, ensuring adherence to best practices and security standards, and troubleshooting complex technical issues. The role also involves planning sprints, prioritizing tasks, mentoring team members, and continuously improving system performance and reliability to support growth in the Middle Eastern automotive market.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in backend and frontend development (for example, modern frameworks, APIs, and database design) to build and maintain scalable web applications.
- Candidates should possess skills in software architecture and system design to create robust, secure, and maintainable platforms that support complex business workflows.
- Candidates should possess project leadership and team management capabilities, including task planning, sprint coordination, and mentoring less-experienced developers.
- Candidates should possess experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing to ensure quality, reliability, and efficient delivery of software releases.
- Candidates should possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose issues, optimize performance, and propose practical technical solutions.
- Candidates should possess clear written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Relevant skills such as familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, and security best practices are highly beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
- Experience in the automotive, e-commerce, or marketplace domains, and previous work in fast-growing digital platforms, is an advantage.
